Stuck? Email us at contact@goggl.app. We’re a small team and we read everything ourselves. Expect a reply within two working days.
Send along right away: which device you’re using, which version of Goggl, and what exactly you were doing when it went wrong. That saves an email back and forth.
Frequently asked questions
When is Goggl coming out?
Winter 26/27. Want to be there the moment we open up on TestFlight? Put yourself on the waitlist.
Does Goggl work offline?
Yes, that’s the whole point. Download the ski resort before you leave and the map, your route and your recording work without a signal. Live data — open lifts, slope status, snow depth, ski buses and your friends’ positions — does of course need a connection.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
No. Goggl works entirely on your phone, with voice guidance through your Bluetooth earbuds so you can keep your phone in your pocket. An Apple Watch or a Garmin watch makes it more comfortable, but it isn’t a requirement.
My elevation figures are off
Goggl uses your device’s barometric sensor, which is far more accurate than GPS altitude, but sensitive to weather changes over the course of the day. Small deviations are normal. If it’s way off, email us with the date and the ski resort — we’ll take a look.
My ski time or run count is wrong
Goggl automatically recognises whether you’re skiing, riding a lift or taking a break. That usually goes well, but a gondola heading downhill, or a very slow descent, can confuse it. If something is genuinely wrong, send us the date and the resort — that helps us improve the recognition.
Can I export my recordings?
Yes. You can export any session as GPX or TCX, and you can send it to Strava or Apple Health. Your data is yours and you can take it with you.
What exactly do my friends see of me?
Your daily stats, your top speed and a simplified version of your route — and only friends you have accepted. Nobody but you sees your full GPS track and your heart rate. Your live location on the map is off by default.
Everything can be switched off item by item in the privacy settings. The full explanation is in our privacy policy.
How do I delete my account?
You can read about that on Delete account.
A slope or lift is wrong in the app
The map data comes from OpenStreetMap and from the ski resorts themselves. If something isn’t right, email it to us — with the ski resort and the name of the slope or lift — and we’ll put it straight.
My ski resort isn’t listed
At launch we support 198 resorts with offline maps, and we’re expanding that. Email us which resort you’re missing; the more often a resort is requested, the sooner it’s up.
